Gaby is our version of the good trench coat: oversized, stylish, sublime, practical, eco-friendly, sturdy, water-repellent and breathable. A great iconic classic, revisited with a Patine sauce to make it the piece you will wear all the time and for many years. It brings cool to the classic, from classic to cool, it works in all seasons on more or less layers of clothing. It's the one we saw in our dreams and in the pages of vintage Special Fashion magazines with New Yorkers walking fast. Sunglasses, cap, Converse, latte optional. Oh Gaby .

• Gabardine composition: 66% OCS cotton, 34% post-consumer recycled polyester
• Lining composition: 100% Seaqual® recycled polyester
• OCS cotton comes from India and recycled cotton from Portugal
• Recycled polyester comes from Taiwan (30% of which comes from the recycling of waste present in the sea and the rest from the collection of plastic bottles in Spain)
• The raw material is woven in Taiwan (we favored this partner because it is the only one today able to obtain this luxurious and resistant result) then it is dyed and made water-repellent in Italy
• The manufacturing is done in Portugal
• The Gaby trench coats are then delivered by truck to Angers to our logistician

Challenge met ?
The Gaby trench coat is a great iconic classic, but not boring. We can have fun with all these details which are anything but superfluous: the length is designed to suit young and old alike, the corozo buttons are sublime, the straps at the wrists and the belt give it a vintage side. The Gaby trench or responsible luxury? Completely.

Its water-repellent gabardine is made of 66% organic cotton and 34% post-consumer recycled polyester. Interior lining in ripstop, a guarantee of solidity, is made of 100% Seaqual® recycled polyester (polyester recycled in Spain, 30% of which comes from the recycling of waste present in the sea and the rest from the collection of plastic bottles).

The first production stock is on the site, but the story actually begins in 1983 when Lauren Hutton, Los Angeles is photographed in a stolen moment that makes her trench look "just too big but not too big" In fact". And already on our dreamlist pinned to the wall we wrote "one day a really beautiful trench coat with Patina sauce": useful, ecological, to keep for a long time...and which looks crazy.
2021: 1,420 of you responded to the questionnaire to describe the trench coat of your dreams. The brief in 1 sentence? “ It’s the one we saw in our dreams and in the pages of vintage Special Fashion magazines with fast-walking New Yorkers. Sunglasses, cap, Converse, coffee latte optional .” We are in sync, at work.
September 2022: we have been working on recycled material in Italy for 1 year. The first 50 meters are sublime, but it proves impossible to weave in larger quantities, the innovation is not there. Back to square one, take heart.
Then there are 75 of you trying the prototypes throughout its development, then at the start of 2023 there are 200 of you who helped us finish the project in a Whatsapp group created for the occasion...group which has since become a Patine behind the scenes forum * :) After a street casting, 10 of you were photographed in "like in New York", we don't dare declare victory yet but we smile.
March 31, 2023: hasty departure for Portugal. We have doubts about the construction of the armhole. We chose a half-lining in order to keep the trench coat light and loose, and to keep the sublime bias-covered finishes visible... But this makes the tailoring difficult. So we set out to find solutions.
February 2023, we open a first pre-order, and it's boiling. The trench coats are made (thank you for your legendary patience) and your messages of joy from the first showers convince us to launch production for the start of the school year. In short, something wonderful is happening with this trench coat, so we say thank you.
