Come to see us

Welcome to the top of your drawer pile, the clothes you'll still want to wear in 2037. We're creating with you a new brand model, somewhere between the nostalgia for the carefree 80s and the utopia of a future where we'll have curbed global warming.

The brand

Somewhere between the nostalgia of the carefree 80s and the utopia of a future where we will have controlled global warming, Patine invents over time its new formula fashion recipe. With our community, we imagine an endearing, reassuring fashion like in an episode of Who's the Boss, but compatible with today's ecological and social challenges. Since we all have to buy less, we build our ready-to-wear brand piece by piece, filling the wardrobe of our dreams with the "top of the pile" clothes. Like a unique collection that we would create in 15 years.
We are a Mission-Driven Company, BCorp certified. Self-financed and profitable since day one, we have just raised funds from our community: our customers are now our shareholders. Our boutique, the Patine Studio, welcomes customers at 8 rue Martel, Paris 10 from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A hybrid place where we have created a repair space and on the first floor, our offices.

We don't have seasons, no collections, only essentials and small capsules launched in pre-orders or drops.

Values & Pillars

Patine is fully committed to creating a new brand formula and offers the right mix of quality, responsibility and utilitarian cool. Its “short card” wardrobe is 100% compatible with ecological and civic challenges. Its pieces are inspired by 80's and 90's vintage as much for their style as for their quality through the affection we have for them. So much so that the quality of Patine's wardrobe is the promise of basic wardrobe clothes to love for a long time. At a time when it is urgent to buy less, the brand offers ready-to-wear: Rewear is the new cool.

Commitments

A pioneer in responsible fashion, Patine is constantly moving to stay at the forefront: the brand draws on the past and its readings to offer the creation, production and distribution solutions of tomorrow and is committed to staying at the forefront of less impact. Patine creates beautiful, useful and pleasant things for a long time, seeks out the best ingredients and partners and fights against planned obsolescence of clothing. The brand measures the life cycle of its clothing and measures this footprint to better reduce it.

Functioning

No seasons, low stock, preorders, iconics & drops. Patine produces clothes in reasonable quantities: most often in pre-order in order to limit both overproduction and overconsumption.

In this way, Patine not only offers a new brand model but also new consumption habits.

The objective? To produce differently to consume differently.

Patina Qualität : the brand develops a catalog of proprietary materials with conscientious sourcing, meticulous production and respecting strict specifications. The brand prides itself - rightly - on local production.

Empowerment: Patine has opened its capital to its customers through a crowdfunding campaign. Its customers are now shareholders. In addition, the share of women shareholders is 3% in France, while 70% of them are shareholders of the brand. Patine is now certified as a mission-driven company and has officially set itself the goal of: “Making possible and proposing a new brand model that reconciles fashion desires, humans and nature.”

Where to find us: Patine is a digital brand, but we love to collaborate and build relationships. Ephemeral presences (Feu Colette,
Bonton, Merci...), exclusive capsules... Patine is present at the REstore space of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann.
We love original and meaningful collaboration projects (Emilie Albertini, Wild & The Moon, event rental of our Prom Dress with GetPrête...). We have a lot of ideas for collaborations and projects, if you also have a desire, do not hesitate to share it with us!

Materials

Patine offers ready-to-wear wardrobe essentials. The cuts are designed to be comfortable, practical without ever losing sight of aesthetics. The brand manages to reconcile beauty and goodness, both for the good of our wardrobe and for that of the planet. It is with this objective that Patine develops its own
materials.

WILLIE the Willie® jersey is thick like our old t-shirts, 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled organic cotton. Knitted for Patine in Portugal, ready to wear with passion!

BRENDA denim to wear often and for a long time, whose selvedge fabric is woven in Italy. Without new cotton: 50% recycled and 50% Refibra, it is made in Portugal and that rhymes with local.

MARTY Marty® fleece is thick like our vintage sweatshirts from before, 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled organic cotton. Knitted for Patine in Portugal. Made in Local.

TONY this fabric is made of 59% organic cotton, 23% recycled polyester, and 18% recycled cotton. The canvas is woven in France, the manufacturing is in Portugal. Pride.

TAFFY 100% recycled polyester taffeta from plastic bottles collected and recycled in Italy. The taffeta is woven in Italy and the garment produced in Portugal.

ANITA bio-acetate made in Italy from which jewelry is made. They are made in a small workshop in Ain in Oyonnax in the Jura massif.

DONNA is our first stretch jean without elastane: 96% GOTS organic cotton + 4% CorevaTM (a 100% natural, biodegradable and compostable rubber).

We also know how to make our own caps, socks, coffee, and maybe one day natural wine and chips.

Charlotte Dereux (@charlottetexas)

“As a teenager in the 90s and passionate about clothes since my first game of Dessinons la mode, I lost a few years of life in the shopping centers of the Parisian suburbs, and believed for a long time that Zara was the best invention of our generation.

In 2016 I stopped eating meat, blue Phil Morris, Coke Zero and fast fashion.

Wasting resources, exploiting people on the other side of the planet for a garment that will not survive 3 rounds of washing or 1 micro trend is completely outdated. We can do better!

I continue to love clothes but there are several ways to change fashion, Patine is a basic proposal for effortless dressing with the quality of before and the conscious commitments of tomorrow.

Hope you like it!”
