Description

The right little denim skirt is a wardrobe essential and a challenge that we wanted to take on with you for the summer. Here is Brenda mini, little sister of our Brenda Short: we keep the high waist, the welcoming hips, and also the real pockets. A mini yes but not micro either (3cm longer than the shorts), effective, not boring, both comfortable and gently sexy. Like the jeans, it is mega responsible: a superb Italian selvedge denim fabric then made in Portugal, without nasty chemicals and without wasting water.

Light blue: Faded blue like in the 90s, only better, to wear in summer and winter! Obtained through ozone washing in Portugal.

Composition

76% Regenerative cotton + 24% Post-consumer recycled cotton, no stretch

Super conscious

• Composition: 76% regenerative cotton and 24% recycled cotton
• Regenerative cotton comes from Brazil and recycled cotton from the Netherlands
• This recycled cotton is post-consumer, made from old jeans
• The metal parts (buttons, zips and rivets) are made in Türkiye
• The canvas is woven in Italy, at our historic partner Candiani
• Washing (with ozone, almost without water) and manufacturing are done in Portugal
Brenda denims are then delivered by truck to Angers to our logistician

Take your usual size
If you are unsure between two sizes, take the larger of the two.
If you have good hips and/or thighs: take a size larger, for more comfort and fit
If you already have shorts, take the same size
If you already have a mini skirt, take the same size
If you're over 1m75, you have endless legs and you're not comfortable with the mini: congratulations, but don't buy it, we'll make it longer one day!
Sawsan is 1m70 tall and wears a size 36
We work the gradations with precision, however there are sometimes deviations of plus or minus 1 to 2 cm compared to the measurements indicated, and from one production to another, a bit like between 2 tomato harvests. This doesn't change anything about how well the clothing fits!

Easy care

• Machine wash at 30° inside out
• Dryer not recommended

Brenda & you: a denim love story

Denim essentials rhyme with sublime and you seem to agree. Brenda, this is our best-selling denim fabric since 2019, validated by you. So after the jeans launched in 2019, reissued 12 times, then the shorts and the mini-skirt in 2021, in 2023 we launched the first long skirt and a sublime denim jacket. So what's next?

Attention to detail

The details of Brenda's pieces have (almost) everything from authentic vintage denim but in an ethical version: the jacrons (patches at the back) are vegan, made from paper pulp and not leather, the pocket bases are reinforced to avoid tearing, the canvas is robust.

And this is how we obtain the superb pieces of Brenda denim, our now best-selling material.

Today the Brenda canvas is available on jeans, shorts and mini-skirts. Looking forward to the sequel :)

Why is this denim more conscious than others?

Brenda is our ultra conscious Italian canvas denim: 76% regenerative cotton + 24% post-consumer recycled cotton. A denim made in Portugal and washed with ozone almost without water. According to an analysis of the life cycle of our parts: we save the equivalent of 50 bathtubs of water and pollute the air 2x less than a traditional equivalent on the market. Hooray!

We have worked a lot on a new canvas that is still as beautiful and even more responsible. Regenerative cotton is an innovation of which we are very proud: result? An article in Le Monde Magazine to read right here

How to maintain it?

Easy care: wash at 30° inside out, 800 revolutions maximum.

Read the care guide (we give you advice on how to treat stains locally without having to put your jeans in the washing machine, because jeans don't need to be washed often. It's cowboy spirit, and it is also synonymous with saving energy and water #bravovous).

BRENDA DENIM

Patina x Candiani

Candiani is not only the leader in responsible denim in Europe but also one of our historic partners. It was with them that we designed the fabric for our almost famous Brenda jeans. In addition to being as friendly as they are stylish, they are keen to perpetuate family know-how within their factory in Italy.

We interviewed them during a made in Italy dinner concocted by the brilliant Jordan Moilim . Discover the interview with our Italian partners.
